FlashForward - The Lowdown

This years highly anticipated ratings-buster series is ABC's FlashForward. The show is based on the novel of the same name by Canadian science fiction writer Robert J Sawyer. The first season is set for 13 episodes starting on Thurdsday 24th September in the States and about a week later in the UK.

The plot sees mankind coming to terms with a mysterious global event lasting just two minutes and seventeen seconds. The event caused the majority of people to simultaneously see glimpses of their life six months in the future. The after effects of the event leave people wondering if what they saw will come true and those who saw nothing worrying if they will still be alive in 6 months.

Joseph Fiennes plays a Los Angeles FBI agent named Mark Benford. With help from his team he tries to work out what exactly happened and why it happened. They create a website database called The Mosaic Collective which contains flash-forwards from people around the world.

Wire Star To Play 'Luther'

Idris Elba, who played Russell 'Stringer' Bell in The Wire, is set to appear in BBC's new series Luther. The drama has been written by Spooks writer Neil Cross and sees Elba play a near-genius murder detective.

Elba said, "I'm really excited about playing Luther. He's a challenging and exciting character because he's so complex. While he's capable of great kindness and loyalty, sometimes he steps over the edge of madness - simmering with anger and rage."

FlashForward Sneak Peek Released

ABC have released a sneak peek of their eagerly anticipated upcoming show, FlashForward. The show is due to premiere September 24th in the States and about a week later in the UK on Five.

What Shows Will Be A Hit Or Miss

Fox's "Glee" and ABC's "FlashForward" are among the new series expected to succeed this fall, while NBC's "Trauma" and CW's "The Beautiful Life: TBL" will be busts, according to a new report.

Longtime audience analyst Steve Sternberg, formerly of Magna Global, says that if executed well, "FlashForward" could be the new "Lost," and that high school musical "Glee" had an "excellent" pilot.

FlashForward UK Air Date Moves Forward

Five are set to show new drama FlashForward, dubbed the new Lost, only days after it has aired in the US. The show which premieres in the States on September 24th will show on Five a week later.

Greg Grunberg Talks Heroes - Contains Spoilers!

Greg Grunberg who plays Matt Parkman in Heroes has been talking about what happens to Matt in the upcoming season 4...

"When we come back in season four, you see that this transfer of brains or whatever didn't go smoothly, and remnants of Sylar are left behind in me," Grunberg said in an exclusive interview on Aug. 5 in Pasadena, Calif. as part of the Television Critics Association fall press tour. "He's in my subconscious and I can't control him. Then he starts to control me, which is very, very cool."

Sylar's already got Nathan's body. Does he get Parkman's, too? "Well, he's in my head," Grunberg explained. "No one else can see him but me, so he's in scenes with me. It's very cool."

Elizabeth Mitchell Speaks About V

Elizabeth Mitchell has been speaking to Sci-Fi Wire about her role in the remake of V.

She told Sci-Fi Wire: "I also feel a tremendous obligation to the people who watched before to not mess it up. So, yes, the memories do come back. However, my character didn't really exist, its a compilation of other characters."

She added: "But I have a little bit of a gift here. I'm able to really love the old and not feel bad about being in the new, so it's good."

Fantastic Four To Get A Reboot


The Fantastic Four series of films is to get a reboot with Angels & Demons producer Akiva Goldsman at the helm. The next film will be written by Heroes co-executive producer Michael Green. It has not been confirmed whether the original four will of Ioan Gruffudd, Jessica Alba, Chris Evans and Michael Chiklis will reprise their roles.

Jolie Up For Barbarella Role

Angelina Jolie and Megan Fox are being tipped to play the lead role in the remake of 60's sci-fi classic Barbarella. The role made Jane Fonda an international sex symbol.

A source said, "This will be the first time Angie and Megan have ever faced off for the same role.

"Whoever gets the part will become the absolute number one Hollywood sex symbol on the planet."
