Galactica Movie In The Pipeline

Bryan Singer is being lined up to direct a Battlestar Galactica movie for Universal. Universal announced in February that is was pursuing a new movie spearheaded by Larson. The project is not related to the recent TV series, which has spinoff show Caprica ready to launch on Syfy next year.

Eko to be heard again?

Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje hopes to return to Lost for the final season.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly he said, "Adewale is open for business. We have had talks about some things they might do for the final season and there are other dead folks coming back allegedly but at the moment it is still a maybe. A strong maybe, but I have not shot anything yet or signed any contracts. But I'm hoping."

He added: "Fans of Eko should have hope. I loved playing that character."

Spider-man stuck in a web

The musical version of Spider-man, 'Spider-man: Turn Off The Dark' has been put on hold due to a lack of money. The musical which features songs from Bono & The Edge from U2 has been put back due to complicated sets and animosity between the director and producer. A spokesman for the musical said, "The production is scheduled to begin previews on February 25, 2010, as previously announced.".

Classic TV Stamps Released

The US Postal Service has just released a set of Early TV Memories stamps. The set includes Texaco Star Theater, I Love Lucy, The Red Skelton Show, Howdy Doody, Dragnet, Lassie, Hopalong Cassidy, You Bet Your Life, The Dinah Shore Show, The Ed Sullivan Show, Kukla, Fran and Ollie, The Phil Silvers Show, The Lone Ranger, Perry Mason, Alfred Hitchcock Presents, Burns and Allen, Ozzie and Harriet, The Tonight Show, The Twilight Zone and the The Honeymooners.

James C. Miller III, a Postal Service board member said, "All of the classic television shows represented on these stamps represent the collective memory of a generation well deserving of entertainment. It was a generation that survived the Great Depression and fought World War II. They were pioneers -- creative geniuses -- who brought television shows of the 1950s into our homes, breaking new ground to provide entertainment for everyone."

Next Wednesday (19/08/09) sees The Office get an operatic makeover. The Office: The Opera is a one off show based on the Comic Relief sketch. The event will take place at London's Proud Galleries with all donations going to Comic Relief

New Heroes Character

Ernie Hudson who has previously appeared in Desperate Housewives, Private Practice and Oz will join Heroes as a recurring cast member. He will play Captain Lubbock, a Baltimore detective who is said to be on the hunt for one of the other characters on the show. Heroes returns on September 21st with a two-hour premiere.

Teletubbies To Return

The Teletubbies are to reunite for a free tour and another crack at the pop charts. A dance remix of their track Follow My Leader is being released on August 24 and a re-release of their album complete with bonus mixes a fortnight later. Eh-Oh!
