Lost's Charlie to be found again?

Reports from Comic-con in San Diego that Dominic Monaghan's character Charlie is to return for the last season of Lost. Rumours are that he'll appear in 3 episodes in season 6.

Defying Gravity

A new sci-fi show airs in America on Sunday. Defying Gravity is set in the around the year 2050. Eight astronauts are manning a six-year space mission to explore planets in the galaxy. Along the way they struggle with interpersonal relationships and eerie space happenings. We'll have to wait and see if it makes it over to the UK shores.

Blue Thunder Blu-Ray

80's classic Blue Thunder is released on Blu-Ray on Monday 3rd August. The film stars Jaws hunter Roy Scheider as police helicopter pilot Frank Murphy who is chosen to test Blue Thunder, a state of the art helicopter. Murphy discovers that the government intends on using the helicopter for corrupt crowd control and surveillance. Malcolm McDowell plays Colonel Cochrane who will stop at nothing to keep the devious military conspiracy a secret. In summary lots of aerial battles and explosions make it a childhood favourite.

V returns

For sci-fi fans of the original 80's mini-series this Autumn sees the return of V. The pilot is being penned by The 4400 co-creator, Scott Peters. Elizabeth Mitchell takes a break from here role as Juliet in Lost to play one of the lead characters, Erica Evans. Also appearing are ex 4400 Joel Gretsch and Firefly/Serenity's Morena Baccarin. It will either be a major smash or complete flop. Here's hoping it's not the latter.

Son of Dexter

Dexter returns for a 4th season on 27th September and he's got his son with him! This season sees Dexter battling to keep up his nocturnal habits whilst looking after his son. John Lithgow joins the cast as veteran serial killer the Trinity Killer who's killing methods and abiltiy to avoid capture for almost three decades fascinates Dexter.

For fans of Family Guy & Star Wars, BBC3 are showing a repeat of Blue Harvest on Sunday @ 10pm. Peter plays Han Solo, Lois is Princess Leia, Stewie becomes Darth Vader, Brian plays Chewbacca and Chris is Luke Skywalker. Cleveland and Quagmire play the parts of R2-D2 and C-3PO, while Herbert is the wise Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Robert Carlyle steps into the world(s) of Stargate on Oct 2 as the lead in the new franchise, Stargate Universe. The plot sees a group of humans ending up on the Ancient's starship Destiny. Unable to navigate the ship they are forced to complete it's original mission whilst trying to find a way home. A trailer for the new series was recently aired at the Comic-con in San Diego...
